An MHT CET marks calculator gives 1 mark per correct Physics or Chemistry answer and 2 marks per correct Maths answer, with no negative marking, so 38, 41 and 33 correct answers make 145 out of 200 in the PCM group. A wrong or blank answer simply scores 0. In the PCB group every question, Biology included, is worth 1 mark, and the total is again 200.
Your result, though, is not shown as marks. The State CET Cell declares a percentile, after normalising scores across the many shifts. So use this page to get your exact raw marks from the response sheet, and read the section on percentiles before you guess a college.

PCM marks = Physics correct + Chemistry correct + 2 x Maths correct
For PCB, marks = Physics correct + Chemistry correct + Biology correct. Wrong answers are not subtracted.
How to enter marks in the MHT CET marks calculator
By default the tool above is loaded with PCM: Physics 50 questions at 1 mark, Chemistry 50 at 1 mark, and Mathematics 50 at 2 marks. Type only the number of correct answers in each. There is no box that needs a wrong count, since nothing is deducted. For PCB, change the Maths row to Biology with 100 questions and 1 mark each.
The panel shows subject marks, the total out of 200 and that total as a percentage. If someone asks for a cet percentage calculator figure, that percentage is just your marks divided by 200, times 100. It is not your percentile.
- Log in to the CET Cell candidate portal and open your response sheet with the answer key.
- Count correct answers in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (or Biology).
- Type each count in the calculator above; for PCB set Biology to 100 questions of 1 mark.
- Read your total out of 200 and the percentage.
- Wait for the CET Cell percentile, which is what admissions use.
Paper pattern for both groups
| Subject | Questions | Marks per question | Max marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Physics | 50 | 1 | 50 |
| Chemistry | 50 | 1 | 50 |
| Mathematics (PCM) | 50 | 2 | 100 |
| Biology (PCB) | 100 | 1 | 100 |
The 180 minutes are split into two locked blocks. Physics and Chemistry come first, for 90 minutes, and are submitted on their own when the time ends. Maths or Biology follows for the next 90 minutes. You cannot carry spare minutes from one block to the other.
Worked examples from a response sheet
PCM: Physics 38 correct = 38. Chemistry 41 correct = 41. Maths 33 correct x 2 = 66.
Total: 38 + 41 + 66 = 145 out of 200, which is 72.5 percent.
PCB: Physics 35 correct = 35. Chemistry 40 correct = 40. Biology 82 correct = 82.
Total: 35 + 40 + 82 = 157 out of 200, which is 78.5 percent.
Notice how much Maths weighs in PCM. Ten more correct Maths answers add 20 marks, while ten more in Physics add only 10. With no negative marking, there is also no reason to leave any question blank.
MHT CET marks vs percentile: why there is no fixed table
Many students search for an mht cet marks to percentile calculator. The honest answer is that the same marks give different percentiles in different shifts. The CET Cell normalises scores across sessions and then reports where you stand among all candidates. That depends on how everyone else in your group scored, which is unknown until the result.
So any marks vs percentile calculator for MHT CET is an estimate built on past data, not a rule. Use it only as a rough idea. An mhtcet marks calculator or an mhtcet response sheet marks calculator gives raw marks only. Those are exact, while the percentile on the scorecard is the figure colleges use in the CAP rounds.
In the latest cycle, candidates could appear twice, and the better total percentile of the two attempts was used. Subject percentiles were not mixed across attempts. Confirm the current rule in the information brochure.
Quick table: marks to percentage of 200
| Total marks | Percentage |
|---|---|
| 190 | 95 |
| 180 | 90 |
| 170 | 85 |
| 160 | 80 |
| 150 | 75 |
| 140 | 70 |
| 130 | 65 |
| 120 | 60 |
| 110 | 55 |
| 100 | 50 |
| 80 | 40 |
Since the paper is out of 200, the percentage is half your marks. This is useful for forms that ask for a CET percentage, but it is not the percentile on your result.
Mistakes when scoring the response sheet
| Error | Effect | Remedy |
|---|---|---|
| Giving Maths 1 mark per question | PCM total falls short by up to 50 | Double the Maths correct count |
| Subtracting marks for wrong answers | MHT CET has no penalty | Count correct answers only |
| Calling marks out of 200 a percentile | They measure different things | Wait for the CET Cell percentile |
| Using 50 Biology questions for PCB | Biology has 100 questions | Set Biology to 100 x 1 |
Other CET and entrance calculators
MAH MBA CET and other state CETs have their own schemes, so an mba cet marks calculator should use the marks in that test's brochure; the set your own scheme tool handles any pattern. Engineering aspirants in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana can use the EAPCET score page. For national exams, try the JEE Main scorer or the JEE Main percentile estimate. The official brochure and notices are on the State CET Cell website, and the CET Cell decides your final percentile.
Questions students ask
Is there negative marking in MHT CET?
No. Wrong and unanswered questions both score 0. Only correct answers count, at 1 mark each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 2 marks each in Maths.
How do I score PCM with an MHT CET PCM marks calculator from response sheet counts?
Count correct answers in Physics, Chemistry and Maths on the response sheet. Physics and Chemistry give 1 mark each and Maths gives 2. Add them for a total out of 200.
Can I convert MHT CET marks to percentile?
Not exactly. The percentile depends on the scores of all candidates and on normalisation across shifts. Any marks to percentile table is only an estimate from past results.
What is the total marks of MHT CET PCB?
200. Physics has 50 questions, Chemistry 50 and Biology 100, all at 1 mark each.
How do I find my CET percentage?
Take your marks, divide by 200, then times 100. So 145 marks is 72.5 percent. This is different from the percentile on the scorecard.
Will this page work as an MBA CET marks calculator?
No. MAH MBA CET has a different paper and scheme. Take the marking rule from its brochure and use the negative marking calculator.
